Welcome to the Calgary Softball Umpires Association!
The Calgary Softball Umpires Association (CSUA) represents, schedules and trains umpires in Calgary, Alberta. The CSUA helps umpires develop their skills for umpiring fast pitch and slo-pitch for women's and men's leagues in Calgary and develops umpires for provincial and national tournaments.

In 2024, his expertise was showcased at prestigious events including the WBSC Men’s World Cup – Group A and the ISC World Tournament. Congratulations! Read more New Alberta Level V Umpire: A huge congratulations!!! to the five Canadian umpires who achieved their Level V status this past summer! Softball Canada and the Officials Development Committee are incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication. In particular, Calgary's Mark Taylor is now a Level V for Fast Pitch. Level V certification represents the pinnacle of Softball Canada’s domestic umpiring program. Achieving this status requires a deep combination of knowledge, understanding, and skill, demonstrating exceptional competence as an official. Full list here Jan 3, 2024 NEW ASUA Umpire Academy prepares Softball umpires for Success! The Alberta Softball Umpires Association is set to kick off 2024 with a new initiative, catering to Softball umpires in various locations. For umpires with 1-3 years of experience. the Jr. Academy aims to enhance skills and knowledge through focused sessions on the 1 & 2 Umpire Systems, Plate Mechanics/Calling Pitches, Base Mechanics/Positioning and Game Management/Communication. The Registration Fee is $25 (+ $2.96 Eventbrite Service Fee) with a limit of 24 spots. For those with 4+ years experience, or Level 2 umpires interested in obtaining their Level 3 Certification, the Advanced Umpiring Academy offers a curriculum designed for you. Topics include: Game Management & Communication, 2, 3 & 4 Umpire Systems, Plate Mechanics and Advanced Base Mechanics/Positioning.
